چکیده

Distillery sludge is a major source of aquatic pollution, but little known about their microbial community and association with the organic metal pollutants. Sugarcane molasses-based distillery an important industry in India, although waste usually treated prior to disposal, treatment often inadequate. The adverse effects pollutants sugarcane on biodiversity abundance disposal site have not been elucidated. This study aims address this gap knowledge. Samples were collected from discharge point, 1 2 km downstream (D1, D2, D3, respectively) Uttar Pradesh, physico-chemical properties characterised. Using QIIME, taxonomic assignment for V3 V4 hypervariable regions 16 S rRNA was performed. phyla Proteobacteria (28–39%), Firmicutes (20–28%), Bacteriodetes (9–10%), Actinobacteria (5–10%), Tenericutes (1–9%) Patescibacteria (2%) predominant bacteria all three sites. Euryechaeota, detected sites D1 D2 (1–2%) absent D3. Spirochaetes (5%), Sinergistetes Cloacimonetes (1%) only samples D1. Shannon, Simpson, Chao1, Observed-species indices indicated that (10.18, 0.0013, 36706.55 45653.84, has higher bacterial diversity richness than (6.66, 0.0001, 25987.71 49655.89, D3 (8.31, 0.002, 30345.53 30654.88, respectively), suggesting provided stressors favour survival can biodegrade detoxify them sludge. confirmed sufficiently effective new metagenomic information its impact surrounding community. It also offered insights into potential bioremediation candidates.

Anaerobic Treatability of Cane Molasses Based Bio-Ethanol Distillery Wastewater Mixed with Cane Sugar Mill Wastewater by Two Phase Multi-Stage Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Reactor

In a period of 1 year, the volumetric ratio of wastewater from a cane molasses-based bio-ethanol distillery plant (CMBP) and a cane sugar mill (CSM) was monitored and shown to be 1:2. In order to evaluate the validity of mixing the two wastewaters, their biodegradability and methanogenic activity (MA) were measured under a fixed temperature of 35°C and fixed FM ratio of 0.5 (i.e., 2 g COD/l for...
